iPhone and iPad

Safari

  1. Open the Client Portal in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.

    On iPad this also works when Safari shows the desktop website.

  2. Tap Share in the Safari toolbar.

    Its place depends on your Safari layout. If you can’t see it, open the More menu first.

  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.

    Scroll the share sheet if needed. If it is missing, use Edit Actions to add it.

  4. Keep Open as Web App turned on, then tap Add.

    This switch appears on newer versions of iOS and iPadOS.

  5. Open the Vacei icon on your Home Screen and sign in.

Android phones and tablets

Chrome

  1. Open the Client Portal in Chrome on Android.

    The same steps work on Android phones and tablets.

  2. Open Chrome’s three-dot menu.

    Or tap Install when this page offers it.

  3. Choose Install app, then confirm.

    Some versions say Add to Home Screen instead. If only a shortcut is offered, it opens the portal in a browser tab.

  4. Open the Vacei icon from your Home Screen or app drawer and sign in.

In Samsung Internet, open the menu and choose Add page to, then Home screen. Other browsers may offer a shortcut instead of a separate app window.

If the install option is missing

  • Opened from an email, WhatsApp or a social app?

    Those links can open in an embedded browser. Use its menu to choose Open in browser, Open in Safari or Open in Chrome, or paste the portal address there.

  • Use a regular browser tab

    Private browsing and older browsers can hide the option. Update your browser and try again.

  • Already installed, or a managed device?

    Open the icon from your Home Screen. Device restrictions can hide installation options; you can always keep using the portal in your browser.

Updates

Update available? One tap, no reinstalling.

A new version of Vacei is ready

Finish what you’re typing, then tap Update.

UpdateLater

When a new version is live, this notice appears at the top of the app. Finish and save your work, then tap Update; the app reloads once. Tap Later to keep working, and it asks again in about an hour. You don’t need to remove or reinstall your Home Screen icon.

Your existing access and sign-in protections apply in the app. An internet connection is required to work with your data, and your documents are not saved for offline use. Books and Payroll remain available through their existing portal links, when enabled for your account.
